Rich with entertainment and activities for the whole family to enjoy, Easter is an egg-citing time of year in Melbourne. From the Melbourne Easter Show to the AFL and International Comedy Festival, the city has something to offer for everyone.

In Melbourne for the Easter School Holidays?
Here’s a list of my favourite things to see and do:

  • No Easter Holiday is complete without a trip to the Melbourne Easter Show. Take advantage of the enormous range of showbags, rides and food trucks on offer. Enter or watch the Hotdog Eating Content, and make sure you get in on the action during the Easter Egg Hunt.
  • Ice Age: No Time for Nuts 4D at Melbourne Sea Life Aquarium– ibis Styles Melbourne, The Victoria Hotel does a great package which includes passes for two adults and two children to the Aquarium- don’t miss out Scrat in action!
  • Studio Cats: Andy Warhol|Ai Wei Wei for Kids – A free event great for families and children, this large-scale exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria draws on Warhol and Wei Wei’s mutual love of cats.
  • Looking for something a little bit different to entertain the kids before bed? Try out Starry Southern Skies– located at the Royal Botanic Gardens, anyone over the age of eight is able to enjoy the brilliant Australian night sky from the view of powerful heritage telescopes.
  • Jurassic Creatures, featuring Prehistoric Creatures of the Ice is an interactive walk through event that will captivate people of all ages.

  • AFL Season has arrived! Grab your mates and head out to the MCG or Etihad Stadium to cheer on your favourite team!
  • Don’t miss out Melbourne City playing against Brisbane Roar at AAMI Park on the 28th of March.

Music and Comedy:

  • The Melbourne Comedy Festival is back for its 30th years of laughs. Enjoy a variety of acts performed at over 145 venues by over 3000 funny people. ibis Styles Melbourne, The Victoria Hotel is one of the many hosts of the comedy festival and promises to delight.
  • Noel Gallagher will be performing at Margaret Court Arena on Tuesday the 29th of March.
