The Comedy Theatre

The Comedy Theatre

Originally built in 1855 and abandoned in 1894, The Comedy Theature is now owned by the Marriner group. Rebuilt in 1928 the Comedy theatre is blend of European flairs – the exterior can be recognised as Florentine palace replica and the interior shows a Spanish influence. The wrought iron balcony seating, the large foyer and the elegant staircase are all Original furnishes of The Comedy Theatre.

Although it is known to be the theatre of laughs, it also hosts many other productions such as Keating, Menopause The Musical, Calendar Girls, Waiting for Godot, The Rocky Horror Show, Avenue Q along with Rock of Age.
