Rod Laver Arena

Rod Laver Arena was completed in 1988 as part of the original National Tennis Centre complex. The arena is known as being the ‘Centre Court’ for the Australian Open Tennis each January and is located in Melbourne Park – only a short walk away from the CBD. Not only a major sporting venue, Rod Laver also hosts a wide variety of acclaimed local and international music acts, family-friendly shows, the motorbike super-cross and wrestling.
