Melbourne Bar Recommendations!

Friday is here! The weekend is knocking on your door and you can feel a buzz in the air. To celebrate the coming of another Friday, I have compiled a small list Melbourne Bar Recommendations:

1. Bomba Tapas & Rooftop Bar

Inspired by the modern bodega, Bomba Tapas and Rooftop Bar has replaced the old Aylesbury to embrace a more casual and laid back vibe. Owners Jesse Gerner and Andrew Fisk provide an excellent range of affordable Spanish-inspired dishes, and the predominately Spanish wine-list is also not going to break the bank. Head to the rooftop to relax- no need to worry about umbrellas as there is a retractable roof on hand in case the Melbourne weather decides to change its mind, again.

The rooftop space is also available for small or large functions.

Check this beauty out on Level 5, 103 Lonsdale Street from 3pm.

2. Rooftop Bar

No Melbourne Bar Recommendations list would be complete without the mention of the Rooftop Bar. Famous for hosting the Rooftop Cinema during the summer months, this Instagram-worthy bar is also renowned for its beautiful city views and excellent beverage range. Climb the stairs to level seven and be rewarded. Climbing not an option, or you have had a few too many? There is a lift on hand.

Open from 1pm daily, The Rooftop Bar is located at Curtain House on 252 Swanston Street.

3. General Assembly

Sometimes simple is best. At General Assembly, they do simple extremely well. General Assembly is well known for their ever-changing range of beer and with their philosophy focusing on the use of high quality, well-sourced products, they will not disappoint. They also have a food menu available that is designed to compliment the various beers on hand. They also hold functions and have indoor and outdoor options available. Don’t miss out General Assembly during your next trip to Melbourne. Your experience will be a memorable one.

Open from 11am daily, General Assembly is located at 29 South Wharf Promenade.

Looking for something a little bit fancy? Head on over to Cumulus Up. Cumulus Up is a beautiful inner-city loft space that focuses on fine wine culture. The bar itself is modern, rustic and has a classic farmhouse twist that will charm city dwellers and rural folk alike.

Although the wine holds the spotlight, Cumulus up serves a great range of food items to compliment the bubbly. Try out their delectable range of grilled seafood, dry aged beef, roast chicken and a great selection of cheeses.

Don’t miss out this elegant European-inspired space and head over during your next stay in Melbourne.
