    One of Melbourne’s more well-known beaches, St. Kilda Beach is as beautiful as it is iconic. A great spot for both tourists and locals alike, the shore is lined with palm trees, a broadwalk and a walking/cycling path that will also take you along to Elwood Beach. St. Kilda Beach is easily accessible by public transport, with trams 3a, 16 and 96 stopping just across the road! Want to do more than just soak up the summer sun? Luna Park and the bustling food scene on Fitzroy Street are both a short walk away.

The beach is also an easy stroll from the Brighton Beach station on the Sandringham train line and is also within walking distance of Hampton Beach.

  5. Williamstown Beach

    ‘Willy’ Beach is one of the great gems tucked away on the western side of the West Gate Bridge and is easily accessible by public transport with North Williamstown train station a 10 – 12 minute walk away. Great for social gatherings, Willy Beach offers plenty of BBQ facilities and spectacular views of the city skyline.
