Melbourne International Comedy Festival
Stay at the Victoria Hotel Melbourne and enjoy the comedy festival...
Staying in Melbourne for the 2010 comedy festival? 24th March - 18th April 2010
The Melbourne International Comedy Festival, launched in 1987 by Barry Humphries and Peter Cook, is one of the three largest comedy festivals in the world, alongside Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Montreal's Just for Laughs Festival.
The Melbourne International Comedy Festival is an annual event and literally takes over Australia's comedy capital, Melbourne, in March. It provides an enormous program of stand-up comedy, cabaret, theatre, street performance, film, television, radio and visual arts and with attendances of over 450,000, it has grown to be Australia's largest ticketed cultural event. All details are listed at www.comedyfestival.com.au.
The Melbourne International Comedy Festival runs for three and a half weeks when the Melbourne Town Hall precinct converts into a giant comedy hub. So come and enjoy a side splitting time at one of Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s many shows and stay in a newly renovated Heritage Room at The Victoria Hotel Melbourne.
